Q.) Our account holder would like to cash a check that’s payable to multiple Payees. Who should indorse it?

A.) If a check is payable to two or more persons alternatively (i.e. includes the word “or”), it can be indorsed by any of the Payees. If payable to two or more persons not alternatively (includes the word “and”), it should be indorsed by all Payees. UCC §3-110 (d)
